GUARDS MUSEUM

Think of London and you think of the Guards at Buckingham Palace….it is quintessentially London! Every tourist should make a point of seeing this iconic ceremony and while you are there, walk a little further to visit The Guards Museum and The Guards Chapel in Wellington Barracks, the spiritual home of the five regiments of Her Majesty’s Foot Guards. Learn about the 380 years of proud and unbroken service to the Sovereign and the nation. Discover the history of these world class soldiers, see their uniforms, medals, weapons and find out more about the strong bond that exists between the Queen and her personal troops. Also, make time to visit the Flanders Fields Memorial Garden at the museum built to commemorate the centenary of the Great War and to honour the 4,096 Guardsmen who fell in Flanders. Lest we forget!
