The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) performs all year round in Shakespeare’s hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon. With two thrust-stage theatres, we bring audiences and actors closer together for the best possible live theatre experience. Our programme is a mix of Shakespeare plays, Elizabethan and Jacobean writers and new writings.

In addition to our year-round calendar of performances, your group can also learn the secrets and stories from 100 years of theatre making in our interactive exhibition The Play’s The Thing; see Shakespeare’s hometown from a different perspective from the top of the tower; discover the world of backstage on a guided Theatre Tour.*

Whether your group is looking for that perfect pre-theatre dining, or just a coffee and cake pit-stop, great food and stunning scenery are always on the menu in our critically acclaimed Rooftop Restaurant, located on the third floor of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and overlooking the River Avon. We serve a modern British menu, all cooked fresh in our kitchens using the finest locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.

*Our Tours and Exhibitions remain temporarily closed as we continue our recovery from the pandemic. We are eager for them to resume and hope to see this happen at some point in 2022.
