ROYAL MINT EXPERIENCE

Welcome to the Royal Mint. Located just 4 miles from the M4, we have called South Wales our home for over 50 years. Set within a stunning Welsh Valley our own wind turbine, themed to a daffodil will be your first glimpse of The Royal Mint.

On arrival, you will find ample complimentary parking just a short walk from our attraction.

Your guests will be taken on a guided tour ‘Behind the Scenes’ of The Royal Mint, and experience the magic of coin production. The process, how we take a sheet of metal and turn them from a Blank and send to your Bank. Learn about the 60 countries worldwide that trust The Royal Mint to produce their coins for them and the different ways they are shipped around the world.

Your guests will be offered the opportunity to Strike Their Own Coin and take away as a great momento of the day. An additional charge applies for this but ask the team of ways to include this in your package for a great value add.

Following our guided tours, Guests are free to explore our exhibition filled with a treasure trove of precious historical coins and rare artefacts. You will find the Alfred the Great penny, which is a staggering 1,100 years old alongside medals from the London 2012 Olympics. Lean about Trial of the Pyx, One of the nation’s longest established judicial ceremonies and enjoy one of our many temporary exhibitions.

You will also find the only Royal Mint shop on site and our café which serves a greet choice of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks. If you would like to host lunch with us, we can provide our menu or work with you to provide a dedicated offering with reserved seating for your entire party. Our team can discuss this with you further.
