R&A WORLD GOLF MUSEUM

Located a pitching wedge from the 1st tee of the iconic Old Course, there is much to explore at this Scottish visitor attraction.

Our immersive galleries brings the past, present and future of golf to life around you. Thousands of fascinating objects, some on display for the first time and dating back over 400 years, bring to life hidden stories of the game and it's personalities.

To mark eighty years since the end of World War Two, we will launch a new exhibition in April 2025 which explore golf and conflict throughout history.

Our self-guided galleries allow visitors to enjoy the Museum at their own pace; by booking in advance, we can also offer guided tours and object handling subject to availability. The R&A Shop located within the Museum is the perfect place for visitors to purchase their St Andrews and Scottish souvenirs, offering an extensive selection of products and gift ideas to suit all tastes and budgets.

Situated above the Museum is The Niblick Restaurant and Bar by R&A. The restaurant sources the very finest local produce and offers dishes for all the family to savour while enjoying stunning panoramic views across the Old Course, West Sands and The Royal and Ancient Clubhouse. Breakfast and lunch is served daily with dinner service running Wednesday to Saturday from April to October. The breakfast menu offers a number of staple British breakfast dishes with the lunch menu focussing on indulgent clubhouse classics. Dinner service is an elevated dining experience with refined, contemporary cuisine.

The R&A World Golf Museum and The Niblick Restaurant and Bar can be hired for private events. We offer a unique hospitality experience called The Curator. Guests can immerse themselves in golf’s past, present and future, with exclusive opportunities to get up close and personal with some of the sport’s most treasured items before savouring the finest local and regional food.

A coach drop off and pick up point is located outside the Museum. Coach parking is available nearby at West Sands Beach.
