Great Stories
The Gretna Green Experience, our immersive romance history attraction, aims to both showcase and preserves the history of love and romance at Gretna Green, whilst telling the age-old tale of that first knock at the door when the Famous Blacksmiths Shop story began.
Step back in time as you meet the Anvil Priests and Priestesses of years gone by, feel the thrill of the chase as couples rush over the border, discover the real-life love stories, and even touch the original historic anvil for good luck in life and love...

We are home to a fabulous range of Scottish and British luxury brands, including our world exclusive Gretna Green Whisky and Gin, Cashmere, Scottish souvenirs and food & drink. Great Experiences
Discover the secrets of Scottish Whisky and Gin through a uniquely Scottish tasting experience, affirm love for a significant other through a historic blessing of love in an enchanting Anvil Handfasting Ceremony or even learn about the history of Gretna Green first hand with Wedding Re-enactments!
Available to book at special group rates, either separately or as part of a combined experience, visitors can sample the flavours and romance history of Scotland.

Stop in for a relaxing meal or drink in our Foodcourt and Bar and enjoy the comfort of traditional, wholesome meals reflecting the flavour of Scotland and the local region. The ingredients are selected to represent the diversity of local and Scottish produce, and to cater to a variety of different tastes and dietary requirements, with several vegetarian options also available.
This light and airy restaurant and bar offers a spacious self-service area where on display is a range of dishes from light snacks to cooked meals - perfect for large groups.
