Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, shares the stories of the people and landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. Housed in a striking contemporary conversion of the Victorian railway station at Hawes, the Museum has a vibrant temporary exhibition programme, an extensive range of events and a variety of experiences that will give your customers a real taste of the Dales.

Hear the voices of those who lived and worked here talking about their lives and our special collections. We’re free for kids, tickets last all week and with a £9 Annual Pass you can come and enjoy making memories together all year round.

Take time out having fun exploring our family friendly galleries, kids Creation Station on the carriages, changing exhibitions and outdoor trail. Learn something new at one of our events or experience days. Relax and recharge with great coffee and cake at the Firebox café and then browse our Distinctly Dales shop to find a little piece of the Dales to take home.

We are a National Park Museum and Visitor Centre, so our welcoming staff will go over and above to help you find out all you need to know to make your visit to the Museum, Hawes, Wensleydale and the wider Yorkshire Dales a special one.
