EAST LOTHIAN TAKES CENTRE STAGE FOR GROUPS

New Film Attracts Groups - Visit East Lothian

One of the UK’s most beautiful tourist destinations now features in a special film to help entice groups of visitors.

The film is being sent to coach and tour operators and group travel organisers all over the country as a tool to help them plan their tours, holidays and excursions.

East Lothian in Scotland – an area close to Edinburgh and famed for its glorious countryside and dramatic coastline – is the focus of a brand new and high quality film produced for the travel trade for Visit East Lothian.

East Lothian is known as Edinburgh’s Coast and Countryside.

The attractions, hotels, group venues and characterful towns of East Lothian are all showcased in the film that is introduced by Steve Reed of Steve Reed Tourism Ltd and produced by Eastwood Media of North Wales

In the film, Steve shows tour planners how well groups are looked after, the welcome coaches receive and the practicalities of bringing groups when they visit East Lothian.

The three towns of Haddington, North Berwick and Dunbar feature strongly – as do a variety of group-friendly sites including Glenkinchie Distillery; the National Museum of Flight; Belhaven Brewery; Amisfield Walled Garden; The Scottish Seabird Centre and Dirleton Castle. It’s everything you need to help you plan a successful group tour.

Elaine Carmichael on behalf of Visit East Lothian said,

‘We have worked with Steve on group travel initiatives in the past and are delighted to be included in the suite of films specifically tailored to the group travel market. The film showcases just some of the East Lothian offer for groups and gives a flavour of what to expect. We hope that it will inspire them to include East Lothian on their itineraries. Those interested in finding out more are encouraged to have a look on the Visit East Lothian website’s Travel Trade pages.’

Group travel is an important component of the East Lothian tourism profile.

‘We’ve worked before in East Lothian and were always impressed by the sheer beauty and high quality of the group offering in East Lothian,’
explains Steve Reed.
‘It’s one of those areas that you have to really see to fully appreciate its potential for coaches and groups. So with that in mind, the brand new film is being despatched to our tour planner databases and it comes with our full endorsement.’
